Championing On-Course Play and Golf Mentoring

Our founder, 8-time major champion Tom Watson, credits his golf mentors for his success on and off the course. He established Watson Links in Kansas City in 2021 to remove barriers like course access and guidance—creating golf mentoring opportunities that benefit young people and communities alike. There are countless benefits to golf mentoring – among them include physical, mental and social benefits that are positive for juniors and adults alike.

With the support of local partners and courses, we offer free, on-course experiences that connect generations of players through learning and fun. We welcome returning and new junior players (ages 10-18) and vetted mentors from across the KC metro. All mentors must undergo a background check and complete our safety/orientation video during registration.

Kansas City is Watson Links’ flagship location. With our staff based here, it serves as our learning lab—where we test new ideas and launch initiatives that can scale nationally across our growing network. Some of our programs are open to the public and others are reserved for specific mentors/juniors from partner organizations.
