Why Golf Mentoring

gradient_blue.png

Golf mentors are caring adults who play golf and have the desire to make a difference in the lives of junior golfers. They volunteer their time to help juniors learn on-course etiquette, social skills and have fun playing on-course rounds. But why?

  • Kids spend 80% of their time outside of school; playing golf with role models is time well spent
  • Adults are looking for ways to give back
  • Mentoring benefits kids and adults
  • Golf fosters positive life skills, interpersonal relationships and social interactions
  • Mentoring initiatives foster community and create access opportunities

How does Golf Mentoring benefit your organization?

  • Provide junior golfers, ages 10-18, more on-course opportunity, confidence and a sense of belonging. These aren’t newcomers to golf; they have some experience
  • Give today’s adult golfers a fun, easy way to give back to their communities through the game they love
  • Strengthen relationships at area golf facilities’ ladies’ and men’s golf associations for mentor-driven rounds
  • Open the door to expand corporate support from local businesses
  • Drive positive PR and more attention to your programs
  • Increase access to on-course play in your community for juniors and adults alike; the sport is booming!
