Watson Links Brings on Steph Mingos Shogren as New National Program Manager

Watson Links is pleased to announce the addition of Steph Mingos Shogren to its staff as National Program Manager.

Steph, a Kansas City native, started golfing at age 6 and has had success in the sport, on and off the golf course. She competed on the high school and collegiate levels, winning four team state championships at Pembroke Hill and earning All-American honors during her time at Rhodes College.

She comes to Watson Links with valuable golf industry experience, most notably in Austin, Texas where she was the Director of Operations for the University of Texas Women’s Golf Program and the Director of Marketing & Communications for First Tee – Greater Austin

Steph is driven to make everyone feel welcome and confident in the game’s many settings. She credits her mentors with helping her appreciate new perspectives in golf and in life. She shared:

“Golf has taken me to so many wonderful places – but some of my most cherished memories revolve around time spent with my mentors.  They have taught me countless life lessons, including the importance of bouncing back, being respectful towards others and having fun. I can’t wait to help implement Watson Links in new cities and pave the way for more players to benefit from mentoring and this game.”

Watson Links is a youth golf mentoring program inspired by golf legend Tom Watson. The newly created role will help ensure that local Watson Links programs across the country are supported and successful. Executive Director, Pauly Hart, had this to say about Watson Links’ new addition:

“We are proud to support Tom Watson’s vision to give more kids access to the game through golf mentorships.  Our team is excited to expand the Watson Links mentoring program nationwide.  Steph’s industry knowledge and love of golf make her a perfect fit to support our growth efforts and our mission.”
