Tom Watson Announces Pauly Hart as Executive Director of Watson Links

Watson Links Mentors Foundation has named Pauly Hart as its new Executive Director. Hart’s role began on January 2 and will focus on running the nationwide Watson Links program, inspired initiative of eight-time major champion Tom Watson, Chairman of Watson Links Mentors Foundation.

The Watson Links program provides opportunities for kids to learn and love golf, inspiring lifelong players who benefit from the positive life skills that come from playing the game.

“We welcome Pauly’s expertise and leadership in growing our program placing mentors and young golfers together, playing a real golf course,” said Watson. “We believe that our program will produce young people who will develop a passion for golf and become lifetime golfers.”

Hart is a longtime golfer with extensive experience in the nonprofit and mentoring worlds. Hart most recently spent eight years as Executive Director of Lead to Read KC, where she championed early literacy in Kansas City and nearly quadrupled the size of their signature Reading and Mentoring program.

“Golf is a unique sport because it’s more than physical activity. It promotes mental health; it teaches patience and problem-solving skills; it also helps develop strong relationships. Plus, it’s fun!” said Hart. “I’m excited to help Watson Links grow the next generation of lifetime golfers.”

Watson Links is eight-time Major Champion Tom Watson’s nationwide initiative to provide a bridge from golf lessons on the driving range to playing on a real golf course for aspiring players ages 10 to 18. The program pairs youth players with adult golf mentors for fun, relaxed rounds of golf to hone basic skills, introduce course etiquette and reinforce valuable life skills – all for free.
