Who Gave You the Gift of Golf?

You can give that same gift to the next generation of players with a donation to Watson Links.

Join Tom Watson in giving the gift of golf to the next generation through golf mentoring.

At Watson Links, we pair junior golfers with mentors for nine-hole rounds, always at no cost. Kids step away from screens, learn the game and its inherent values, and form intergenerational connections along the way.

You can be part of our golf mentoring movement — one that has benefited 1,000+ golfers of all ages.

How do kids and teens benefit from golf mentoring?

Today’s youth spend 6-9 hours a day on screens, and only one in four get enough exercise as recommended by the CDC. The result? Mental and physical health issues that affect society as a whole. You can help change that story. Junior golfers Wille and Elaine tell us how.

“I really enjoyed being a part of Watson Links this summer and having the opportunity to meet all the wonderful mentors and junior golfers. My favorite part is that it offers free golf to many juniors who may not have opportunities to play. As a high school golfer who loves the game, it’s good to see the sport grow in our community.”

— Wille, Junior Golfer

“The free rounds offered through Watson Links have given me the opportunity to play so many different beautiful and challenging courses. The mentors have helped me gain new perspectives on how to handle certain situations on the course, and in life. They also taught me how to engage with new people, which has helped me feel less nervous playing golf in high school.”

— Elaine, Junior Golfer

Golf Mentor Kathy with Junior Golfer

“Sparking the interest in golf is the first step. Then, I build on the fun, friendship, and stories that we always seem to share. It’s in that moment where the reward falls in to place. Watson Links has given me the opportunity to participate, grow, and give back across the generations. They have truly zeroed in on the foundation and spirit of the game.”

— Kathy McCleery, Golf Mentor

“The best part of Watson Links is that Calvin gets to play with a diverse group of juniors and mentors, with differing levels of golf experience and backgrounds. The program not only helps him develop his golf skills but also promotes the social side of the game.”

— Henry He, Parent

“My daughter gets to play in her first varsity tournament next week! Watson Links played a huge part in improving her golfing ability! Thanks for all you do!”

— Mary Buell, Parent
