Momentum on the Rise: Watson Links Surpasses 1,400 Mentoring Rounds in a Record-Building Q2

Forty-six mentoring initiatives across the country connected hundreds of junior golfers and mentors, setting the stage for an even bigger second half of the 2026 season.

The second quarter of the 2026 season has come to a close, and Watson Links continues to expand its impact by creating meaningful golf mentoring experiences in communities across the country.

From April through June, 46 mentoring initiatives brought junior golfers and caring adult mentors together at golf courses spanning multiple states. These programs included collaborations with First Tee chapters, Girls Golf programs, PGA professionals, high schools, and community organizations—all united by a shared commitment to growing the game through mentorship.

The results reflect the power of those partnerships:

  • 46 initiatives activated during Q2
  • 20 initiatives continuing into Q3
  • 315 mentors participated during the quarter
  • 414 junior golfers connected with mentors
  • 985 participants served year-to-date
  • 1,482 rounds of golf played in 2026 so far

Behind every number is a story. Returning mentors continued building relationships with the juniors they met earlier in the season, while new Playing Partners launched programs that introduced even more young people to the game in a welcoming, supportive environment. Across the country, participants experienced firsthand how a round of golf can build confidence, develop life skills, and create lasting connections.

Sharing impact in their words.

For many families, Watson Links opens doors that may have otherwise remained closed. As one parent from a recent St. Louis program shared:

Mentors are seeing that impact just as clearly. Beyond improving golf skills, they’re helping create safe, encouraging environments where young people can grow both on and off the course.

The momentum isn’t slowing down.

With 34 additional initiatives scheduled for July, August, and September, the second half of the season will bring even more opportunities for juniors and mentors to connect. Whether you’re a junior golfer looking to grow your game, an adult interested in making a difference as a mentor, or a golf facility or organization looking to bring Watson Links to your community, there’s never been a better time to get involved.
